Hi there! My eldest aunt ( who has long passed on) used to say that her granny was a Javanese princess who ran away from Java. She was suppose to marry a much older man. She disguised herself and got onto the slave ship and headed for South Africa. Apparently she carried a basket with he every where she went. In this basket was a jinn who was assigned to protect her. We don't have any documents and wondered if this could be the princess that disappeared into the sea?
